  • Maintain a healthy weight to reduce pressure on knee and hip joints.

  • Drink adequate water daily to keep joints lubricated.

  • Exercise at least 30 minutes a day—walking, stretching or strengthening.

  • Avoid lifting heavy objects incorrectly; always bend your knees.
